At Sprayed in ENGLAND we appreciate the skill and creativity of all artists and are always on the look out for new artists to represent. However, between Wednesday and Sunday the primary role of Sprayed in ENGLAND is to look after the interests of our customers and to sell the works of the artists we have committed to represent.
To enable us to fairly evaluate the works of other artists and our representation (and our likely success in selling these works) the following procedure is in place:
Artists need to forward images of their paintings to the gallery via email. The images can be in any format (Tiff, Jpeg, PDF). If you are sending us images as attachments by email or sending us images on a floppy disc or a CD please make sure they are saved as a JPEG. We will also look at websites.
All images must have:
Artists seeking representation should also send biographical details on themselves including notes on the motivating factors behind their works.
Where applicable include details of other representation.
We never view artworks without this procedure being followed. Why?
As previously stated above our primary function is to look after the interest of our customers and sell the works of the artists we have agreed to represent. To do this, we are focused on the public during trading hours, except where specific appointments have been made.
If we determine from the information sent that there may be a mutual opportunity, we will arrange a suitable time to progress discussions, and for the artist to present the works under consideration.
The artist must be aware that we do not retain work to sell at this stage.
We need approximately 4 weeks to consider the works and how they fit with works we already represent, and also factor in how work may fit into our programme of events.
We are constantly looking for new work and carefully consider everything that is submitted to Sprayed in ENGLAND.
Thank you for your assistance and good luck.
