Commissioned by the gallery to create a
collection which is about the times we live in, Daniel couldn't ignore
the financial climate and so Fukkerfly - Quantatitive Easing and the
Art of Printing Money was born.
Once again Daniel uses the familiar and distorts it to convey a new idea. Utilising the CYMK printing process, the collection became less about the image and more about the manufacture. This is the first time Daniel has crossed his two styles of computer imagery and stencilling.
Unsure how the collection was going to be received, Daniel commented 'it's is quite a departure from previous collections, so I'm interested to see how the audience reacts to it', 'it's very modern but punk, if that makes sense'.
Some of the pieces titles speak for themselves, Fake, Reflections of C(r)ash, Scene of the Crime and Rich Pickings, which incidentally was bought at the Opening night by an ex Royal Bank of Scotland Banker!
The Exhibition is on until the 17th April and some of the images will be on show at the International Music Summit in Ibiza in May.
